I saw this lovely post on the search for fresh Mozzerella and Insalata Caprese over at Italicious and started dreaming of holidays and sitting on the Med having a delicious lunch with perfect ingredients.The tomatoes around here are simply delicious at the moment and the best way to eat them is in a simple tomato salad, with mozzarella and basil, drizzled with olive oil. We like a bit of balsamic drizzled over as well, an addition I am sure any Italian will frown upon!
Everyone in Morocco has been furiously preparing for the iftar, or breaking of the fast meal over the last few weeks, baking and freezing so that there is little preparation to do after a long day of fasting. Maria has been coming with the most delicious little treats for us to sample this week. My favourite was Krachel, delicious little sweet rolls flavoured with aniseed, sesame and orange blossom water.
