Monda…..

Having had to make do with Chinese after spotting those gorgeous sardines down on the beach, we were beyond delighted to find a little restaurant called Pena Flamenca Alcasarin in the town of Monda which had its very own little boat with sardines cooking outside the front door!!

Monda is a small town, just off the inland highway between Marbella, and Malaga, close to Coin. It is a delightful place with narrow streets, little squares and water fountains with numerous little cafes, tapas bars and restaurants.

It was a stop worth making and we settled in for a light tapas lunch of grilled prawns…

prawns in a spicy paprika and garlic sauce….

sardines…..

and a little glass of ice cold Manzanilla Sherry……

One of the things I love about the food in Spain is that even though there are several dishes there is quite literally enough for one or two bites per person so you never feel like you have eaten to much!
Your post Mint Tea & Tagine » Monda….. was very interesting when I found it over google on Friday by my search for tagine. I have your blog now in my bookmarks and I visit your blog again, soon. Take care. Parejaspareja.es
